Brief help for ASDD search

Discover descriptions of geospatial datasets (collections of data with a particular theme and relevant to a certain location).

• enter text terms
• choose which metadata elements to search against
• join rows with AND / OR / AND-NOT
• more than one word constitutes a phrase
• case insensitive (solar = Solar = SOLAR)
• use wild card at end of a search term - "region*" will match "region, regions, regional"
• examples: vegetation, flora, nature reserve, topography, water, elevation, ...

• search simultaneously at various spatial data directories (nodes)
• select multiple nodes using shift-click and/or ctrl-click
• see node descriptions for an overview of each document collection
• broadcast a more specific query using the advacned search which will allow you to query the ASDD through a region of interest, in addition to text and keywords
